Michel de Montaigne, Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins, p 66

Only partially through the Tony Robbins book, but this seems to be his recommendation as to the best way to change behavior: By creating pain, where pleasure used to be. And to be sure to think long-term, not short-term. Tony Robbins points out, correctly, that sometime short-term pleasures, actually cause longer-term problems. I wish I had read this book back when he wrote it.
