Yesterday, saw Otis (friend’s dog) who wasn’t doing really well. Seems to have a hurt back, and is having trouble using his back legs. It was heartbreaking to watch as he slithered over for attention, but with the meds he wasn’t hurting. It made me think of what a big part of my life my dog, Peaches, has been for 12 of her almost 14 years. And though perhaps a little too literally, when I saw this quote I thought of our many walks in the dark (especially with time changes), all while hoping Otis feels better, he is a great spirit and a positive light in the darkness.
